Nice round-up Eric. Sorry you didn’t get much out of The Hateful Eight, I absolutely loved it. Seeing in in 70 mm was one of the best theatrical experiences I’ve had in years.
Oh don’t get me wrong, I did enjoy The Hateful Eight, and I loved the whole 70mm Roadshow experience. It just didn’t blow me away like I was hoping, especially when compared to Tarantino’s past output.
Jessica Jones in on the list
It was much better than I expected. Hope you enjoy it, too.
I will get to it soon. So many quality tv shows out there. I know I know. Not a bad problem is it haha.
Haha I know how that goes! There are so many shows I want to watch these days. We just finished the first season of Fargo – so good! – and are now checking out Better Call Saul. Hoping to get to Mr. Robot after that.
yes…
You watched some really good movies in December. Cool!
It was a very Tarantino Christmas, haha.
A few Christmas movies to celebrate the festive season! I might catch A Very Murray Christmas next Dec.
Nice to see praise for Force Awakens, loved hanging out with the old cast again and the new characters were likeable as well.
A Very Murray Christmas is very ‘hipster’ but still a fun way to pass an hour during the holiday season.
The Force Awakens was a nice surprise! Did not expect to love that one as much as I did.
Went with my dad to see Force Awakens, we enjoyed it. I didn’t care for the in and out of focus thing during some scenes for character dialogs felt it was kind of distracting. That’s just me though.
I saw both Kill Bills in the theater. First one definitely was killer.
Show-wise I have been watching Mom and Ash Vs. The Evildead.
Glad to hear you enjoyed The Force Awakens, too. Man I wish I could have seen the Kill Bill movies in the theater. I bet those were great experiences.
Heard good things about Ash vs. the Evil Dead! Gonna have to add that to my list.
I really enjoyed seeing both Kill Bills on the big screen. I still have my ticket stubs along with stubs for many other events I have been to in a tin.
Nice work, Eric!
‘Jackie Brown’ is under rated for its two old pros, Robert Forster and Pam Grier showing upstart, Samuel L. Jackson how grown ups work and play well together.
Can’t argue with ‘Kill Bill’. While ‘Home Alone’ always struck me as an extended, better written and executed live action ‘Road Runner/Wile E. Coyote’ cartoon. Though a very good one.
Hope all is well with you… And Welcome Back!
Hey Jack, great to hear from you! I still can’t get over how electric Forster and Grier were in Jackie Brown. Definitely appreciated their performances more in this most recent rewatch.
And you are spot-on with your Home Alone analogy. First time watching it since I was a kid, and I had a blast with it.
Gotta finish Jessica Jones! Such an epic show. Great list of titles here!
Jessica Jones was a nice surprise. I knew nothing about the character or the series, but it got me hooked right away. Glad you dig it, too, man.
